"The evolution of electric power from the discovery of Faraday to the initial great installation of the Tesla polyphase system in 1896 is undoubtedly the most tremendous event in all engineering history."
- Charles F. Scott, creator of The Scott-T Transformer
Nikola Tesla was an innovator in the field of energy. With his discovery of Alternating Current -- or AC -- he made it possible so the entire world could get energy fast and easy. Today, the world uses AC to power homes and buildings. Where others dismissed this type of energy as ‘useless,’ Tesla created motors and systems that used thinner wires, had higher voltages, and could transmit electricity long distances. Tesla’s AC systems brought the electricity field into new territory that gave us amazing inventions. Most electrical devices today would not work as well on Direct Current as it does with AC.
Tesla's amazing ideas in the field of electricity turned the world around.
